San Antonio to Austin

Tonight we are staying at a Cracker Barrel just outside of Austin...I am reflecting on the past two days remembering all we did and experienced in Texas. Three things I love about Texas is 1) They fly American flags everywhere, at businesses, homes, churches and parks. American pride is prevalent. 2) I love a good Texas accent...I could sit and listen for hours to anyone who has one. 3) The BBQ is not to be messed with!

We started our Texas tour by camping our Rv at Medina Lake just outside of San Antonio.

We were greeted by hundreds of deer, everywhere we looked.

Kids loved the playground.

After we set up camp we went to the Alamo in San Antonio.

Just a short walk from the Alamo was the Riverwalk.

In typical tourist fashion we had to do the tour boat.

We ended that day back at camp doing laundry, what else!

The next morning we packed up and headed to Austin.

We saw the Capitol.

Climbed on cannons.

And visited the Texas State House of Representatives.

After, we went to the Austin Nature and Science Center.

Making a Carbon Nano.

Digging for dinosaur bones.

We ended the day at Salt Lick...recommended by many!

The ribs were to die for!

I'd say Texas was a success, we had beautiful weather and had a blast exploring. Next stop New Orleans...
