The Norwegian Getaway

No FB, IG, email, text or phone calls...no internet at all for a week, ahhh to disconnect is a good thing. Kids club, date nights, all you can eat buffets, sign me up! A little break from the road and time spent alone with the hub was like icing on this road trip cake. We spent the last week on the brand new Norwegian Getaway. Docking out of Miami, we left our coach in storage and the Pathfinder in a car lot close to port, praying that our home was safe while we were away.
The Getaway is a massive ship, holding close to 4,000 people. Brand new, this ship has everything you could ask for...
5 water slides
a ropes course
basketball...rock climbing, theaters, spas, kids club, amazing food, and so much more...

Our first stop was St. Marteen, we took a short cab ride to Little Bay and enjoyed the beach for the day.

The next day we woke up in St. Thomas, our favorite island. Taking a crazy taxi ride to Secret Harbor beach we spent the day paddle boarding, snorkeling and relaxing under palm trees and sun.
We saw Iguana's everywhere, one crawled under our table while we were eating lunch. The kids and I screamed.
Secret Harbor was breathtaking.

On sea days we enjoyed the ship's amenities. Norwegian offers free style dining which allowed us to visit any one of the 14 restaurants at anytime, not helping my waistline one bit!
Poor Blake has raccoon eyes, all of us got sun burned the first day.

The kids had the best time in kids club, they would beg to be dropped off which gave Justin and I plenty time to spend together.
Layne doing a princess parade.

Our final day at sea we pulled up to Nassau, Bahamas.
Having a little trouble with our taxi ride we ended up spending only a little time at Junkaroo beach right by port.
I love having girls!

After Nassau we woke up the next day in Miami, packed up and left the ship by 9 am. Our Pathfinder and RV were right where we left them, safe and sound. Looking back on our trip I am thankful for the many people we got to meet, we heard their stories and got to share ours. I pray that during our traveling time we get to bless others and that those around us would see Jesus. We are so thankful for this path the Lord has blessed us with and will continue to be grateful for everything we get to see and do.
